In 2021, London-based producer Giulia Tess made her debut on Scarlet Tiger with the glistening ‘200417’ EP. In March, Giulia returns to Ross From Friends’ famed label with a new release, ‘Vista Mare’, on a label that is quickly becoming renowned for its euphoric rave anthems.

Last year, Giulia Tess released two productions on fellow London label HE.SHE.THEY, which also saw her collaborate with Ell Murphy for a more experimental release. Continuing her stride, ‘Vista Mare’ sees the Italian artist venture further into the darkness with three strong club tracks. ‘Domenico’ lends itself more to the big peak-time festival moments whilst ‘Monica Vitti’ is one of the basement crew with its hard-hitting percussive-lead rhythm. Taking her foot off the gas, the EP rounds off with hazy emotion on ‘Vista Mare Forever’.

Recently, Giulia has been playing shows around the UK and Europe at notable clubs including Fabric, Printworks, Renate and more. She has been playing with artist such as Daphni, Floating Points, Elkka and Four Tet as well as opening for artists such as Bicep and Prospa. Over the last summer she has also been spotted playing the festival and club circuit in her homeland, Italy, including Giles Peterson’s favourite spot in Catania, Mercati Generali, for Opera Festival as well as Decibel Festival in Florence.

Alongside her production projects and gigs in festivals, Giulia regularly plays around London clubs such as Phonox, Fabric , Body Movements and many more. Tess is also a resident DJ at Rinse FM. She appeared on NTS, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Reprezent Radio as a guest DJ, pro-actively supporting new music from her favourite producers.

2023 will be an explosive year for Giulia. She will be releasing new music as well as playing more festivals including Field Day.
